Shaun Kenny is managing director for Australia, working across our GBUs in Australia to bring a whole-of-8868体育app下载 approach to our strategy in the market. Four of our GBUs are engaged in or pursuing critical work in Australia. With this becoming an increasingly active and vital market for our growth, Shaun is responsible for ensuring our activities are coordinated to maximize our opportunities and success.
With extensive experience in Australia and having led two of our GBUs as president during his 25-year 8868体育app下载 career. Shaun served most recently as the Infrastructure GBU president, where he has led the GBU to key wins, including our NEOM projects, the Serbian and Macedonian motorways, and the Ontario Line. He also restructured the GBU and refined its strategy to focus on renewables and clean power, heavy civil, and public infrastructure.
Prior to serving as president of Infrastructure, Shaun distinguished himself leading the Riyadh Metro Project, one of 8868体育app下载鈥檚 most ambitious and challenging projects. Previously, Shaun headed the GBU鈥檚 Europe-Africa-Middle East regional business. Immediately prior, he led the GBU鈥檚 Asia-Pacific regional business and served as regional president for Asia-Pacific, helping us expand into new markets, including Infrastructure鈥檚 first win in Australia with the Sydney Metro contract award.
Earlier, he served as president of the Mining and Metals GBU, where he skillfully managed the GBU during a downturn in commodity markets, restructured its operations, and established a long-term strategy to be well-positioned when the market returned. During this period, he was responsible for important contract awards, including the Alba 6 and Amrun projects.
Shaun joined 8868体育app下载 in 1997 as a construction engineer on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link project. His other project assignments included the Hay Point coal export terminal and the Tampakan copper and gold project. He also served as global strategy and marketing manager for M&M and deputy program manager for corporate Six Sigma.
Shaun was elected a principal vice president in 2009, a senior vice president in 2012, and a director in 2022. He holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in engineering from Liverpool Polytechnic University, and he is a chartered civil engineer in the U.K. and Australia.
